This thing was great to tease and for some reason you always move away very quickly when goes for the attack even though it's harmless.

Nice close up Karl, looks a tad dark on my screen but then again could be time to calibrate

I think it's as it is...sadly these things arn't easy because they're so damn dark. I tried to take shots of beetles but they just odsorb the light and come out really really dark, and yes i did use different settings, still no good.

Fab shot Karl

looks a tad dark on mine too but has not detracted from a great shot. I particularly ove the tiny hint of catchlight on the antennae which gives an almost 3D look to the image.
