A very sad loss yesterday. RIP Pattie

Postby chris Hodgson » Thu Feb 02, 2012 12:51 pm

As some of you may be aware, ahab (aka Maurice, or Moz) lost Pattie yesterday, his wife of 50 years :( As one of the longest standing and most respected members of this forum, and long before we changed to a photography forum, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to him and his family.
This is the man who has brought some of the best humour to this forum, even when times were difficult at home.
ANYTHING we can do to help you, we are here M8 ;)

So sorry to hear that Moz. My deepest sympathy mate.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Thank you very much Chris for your kind words. You are already helping in the best way possible by being a good friend even tho' we've never met. That goes for everyone on the forum that has sent me words of condolence via Facebook. (You know who you are)

You may think 'what the h**** he doing on here at such a time'? Well I'll tell you, It's 'cos I like to feel friends around me who are not gonna go all 'girlie' and set me orf.

Soz m8, but I don't do "girlie", unless it's a Friday night
The nutters group have been through a lot m8, and have seen the passing of a few good people in our time, such as Pete, Jen and Bob (jenbob). Even our good friend Ken (Kibmen), who just vanished, so we could only assume the worst :( Meeting face to face makes no difference IMHO,it just builds on what is already a good friendship ;) One day though, we will meet up ;)

Condolences from me, too. Again, I've not been here long, but it's a nice friendly forum, and you Moz are part of that.
Take care.
