Help For Heroes

Postby Jayne-Yorks » Sat Nov 06, 2010 1:13 pm

This is a single being released by the British Legion, it's a minute's silence accompanied by a video with various celebs in it, proceeds go to help the ex service and still serving soldiers and their families, a very worthy cause if anyone wants to buy it.

HFH released a CD some time ago containing the Sharp Theme and Love Farewell by John Tams. Tams played the poacher Dan Hagman in the Sharpe series. Love Farewell is a really haunting song and well worth the money especially when you consider where it goes..
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Did anyone watch the 'forgotten Heroes' last nite on BBC 1? it was a real eye opener and just shows how much support these people DO need even without the added disabilities of physical injuries

Never thought; I could have put this on this thread.
