Well I'm a DIY nut, but a roof is a bit beyond me. But I'm always willing to use 6" nails!!!

Them's some serious roof timbers.

I can plumb in a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher...

thats about as DIY as i get...fortunatly I know a man who can (and for a cheap cheap rate fo about 12 pounds an hour) will come and do all the jobs that I cant

I make a list and when its fairly long I give him and call and round he comes...perfect

This was my very last job Kenny; I'm afraid I'm getting past it at 74.When I packed in the photography business, I took to buying houses in need of a lot of TLC and refurbishing them. The house I'm in now is the last and I intend to spend the rest of my days here. This is the seventh one I've done and I do everything myself except gas.

The first was a flat in London that I bought for my mother. Sold it when she passed on and that paid for the next one which was an 18 room ex old peoples home in Mablethorpe Lincs. Turned that into a four bedroom house and three flats before it was sold. Took me six years. :D

All the others have been local. I've put all I know into this one and it is virtually finished except for one room.

I'll put up some of the results this is the kitchen that runs into the extension: On the last one I was waiting for kickboard to go in fron of the Washing machine and spin dryer.

The double doors are oak and I managed to pick them up in a sale for 25 quid each. I veneered the door casings to match.

I'll show you some of the bathroom later.

I like to keep active Angel :D My wife tends to pick up the camera occasionally. I was unaware that she'd taken the shot until I downloaded the card.
