I can appreciate it's difficult to get this kind of shot or so I assume. But something seems to be lacking in the clarity also I think your point of view is wrong if you know what I mean.
Don't be disheartened tho' I'm sure the experts (award winning? ) will shoot me down.

Thank's for that. Unfortunately, that is where I was told to go. They wanted the castle, (which was toataly unlit) in the foreground. So I had to tweek a little to get an outline.
Anyway, that's my excuse!

hard call to get the castle too. I would have done a few long exposures of the castle and used that to edit some detail back in ;-)
Really like the effect on the 6th shot. It's a shame it's not a little wider, so you could have straightened it up a bit ;-)

So it's a castle is it. Coulda fooled me. Looks like a large country house probably because you wern't helped by having no fore/background lighting to show it off.

That was a good bit of advice from Chris. If you had slightly upped the iso on the camera, set it on a tripod and one say I five second exposure before the fireworks started you would have had a base reference image which you could have loaded into photoshop along with your fireworks images and using layers could have included the castle in the shot. with a bit of work nobody would have been the wiser ;)

one to think of should the occasion arise again or a similar place say.

Yes, your getting the idea. Main thing with stuff like this, is take your time doing it, and don't take it too far. It's all about letting people see the detail is there in the castle, but not making it stand out and distract from the fireworks.

This to me has a very false look about it?
The camera doesn't take the shot, you do...

Does look a bit Disneyesque but with a bit of fakery, say, some pretend uplighting and a softening of the castle outline would probably do the trick. T'would take someone a bit cleverer than me to do it tho'.
