Hi guys
hope you dont mind me showing this but cannot believe it.....Our exhibition was visited by an art critic who has spoken in length about what he saw there. I am totally gob smacked at what he said about my work and kind of overcome at the moment. I now know who put the wonderful comment about my work into the visitors book and I thought I would just show you the blog he has online and where he mentions the show...
http://fatherpie.blogspot.com/2012/01/new-vision.htmlHope nobody minds as its the first time anyone who doesn't know me has had something really good to say about my work.
Thanks for looking
Kenny

If that doesn't give you some confidence in yourself Kenny, then I think we'll have to give up on you.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Ta muchly Jayne
in our group on FB at the moment, that article is causing a bit of a stirr amonst some of the gang. The images it talked about of the landscapes is totally out of order really. If you had seen the work Dan did they are beautifully printed- to be anyway and I can honestly say that nobody in the New vision group produced a poor exhibtion and I was was the one worried about bringing their work down. I dunno what to think about art critics really cos you could put a picture up on a wall in a gallery and invite 100 critics and I would bet that all of them have different opinions. I think I am learning now that I shouldnt take note of what a critic has to say but know in myself if the work I did was okay. its ourselves first we have to satisfy before anyone else. Got to say though that saying I was going to opt out of the show cos of bad doubts, I'm glad I didnt. It was an amazing experience which I shared with very talented people- some of whom I KNOW will go on to bigger and greater things. I just hope that when they do they still remember the little guys like me.

Wanders off seriously considering suicide.
