Kenny what do you mean by this??

by "blow out a white background" do you mean expose a white background? One of my main intention of by the high lights is to fully expose the white background.

Hi there
yes, I am saying that you cannot blow out a white background with a light that cannot have its power controlled. what you can do is get a product table with translucent base and light the underside of it with this kit and that will give you a pure white background but basically as I told you before in your other threads, tungsten lighting is mainly used for lighting human subjects in a classical lighting situation. if you really want full cotrol over your exposure and lighting for professional looking product photography involving high key white backgrounds your going to have to go down the road of variable studio lighting-IE strobes which you can turn the power up or down with. ususllay to get a white background your background lghts need to be typically 2-2.5 stops higher than your key and fill lights. you simpluy cannot do this with fixed tungsten daylight 5500 bulbs.
Please dont hold back.Im here to learn and to learn you have to listen to the mistakes you have made,so tell me!
