I intend to get the themes up by the Sunday of the two week period, although I may post before this. The selection of the themes is carried out my my glamorous assistant choosing a number between 1 and 52 - and I then match this number up to a theme which is what we shoot. If a previous number is chosen, or the theme is inappropriate for the time of year, I then ask for a direction (Up/Down) and take the next theme in that direction.
While it is encouraged to shoot the theme within the given period this is not always possible, we don't mind!
In fact, to make it easier I'm going to add some extra bonuses in. I admit the names are purely so I can chuckle when someone posts saying they are going to chuck a baboon or grab a donkey!
Chuck a Baboon
If you really are struggling with a theme then chuck a baboon.
OK, what this really means is you are going to skip that theme and post your best photo from the two week period. Do try not to do this more than once every couple of months though - it really is a lot of fun all shooting the same theme!
Grab a Donkey
This is quite apt as these themes are the ones we deemed to be a pain in the ass (donkey) to shoot!
If you don't feel like shooting the current theme, you can always have a go at one from this list. They are all pretty tricky due to circumstance or interpretation. You can pick one of these at any time, but please only shoot the same theme from below once or twice.
