Looks too cluttered to me, a sort of grabbed holiday snap, try concentrating on one boat or part of one.

Worst of all the sea is running downhill to the left, sloping horizons

I quite like it as far as the shot goes. Yeah it could do with straightening a bit, and maybe toning the exposure down a little, but that's all I'd do. Sometimes photography isn't all about the "art" or perfectly composed shot. It's about capturing a moment in time, or a place you've been ;) .
Little edit below to show what I mean

I like it too; full of interest. A very nice record shot.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Can't see the riginal but like the edit, also thinking a very contrasty mono would work well too ;)

The purpose of the shot was to show the clutter, Holy Island is an iconic place there is a working harbour but on my first visit I did not expect to see abandoned boats fish boxes and all manner if discarded items spread across the foreshore.
I took this the same day and tried to repeat it again on my last visit in October but more clutter seemed to have encroached
(my selective colour stage)
