Alternative to flickr

Postby carlb40 » Tue Jun 07, 2011 9:51 pm

Not sure if some of you have an anything against flickr or not.
This was posted on GetDPI today, looks quite interesting. Like a few sites, this has an option for selling your photo's if so inclined?
Not sure how that would work as i think they use an american printing company, so might be a bit limiting for the rest of us.
Anyhoo enough babble

shouldnt be a problem it being a US company Carl. Blurb is a US company and my book I got back off them for my book module was really beautifully done. I would use blurb again to do another book should the opportunity arise.I see no reason why this company couldnt be used. thanks for the link :)
Please dont hold back.Im here to learn and to learn you have to listen to the mistakes you have made,so tell me!

Well ive set up an account there, and been mooching around. Turns out its a canadian company. Also if you have the shop part turned on to allow sales, you set the price for the image, between them and the printers they take 20% and out of the 80% you pay for the print, which i think is $5. The buyer is then responsible for the postage costs.
TBH its a lot better than flickr, theres none of this 'holiday snaps' stuff you get on flickr. Having looked through over 30 pages of images, i havent found one crap, let alone mediocre image yet. Everything thing there is outstanding, and think till i get better, i will let my account there rest :)

Oh, I don't know Carl - I reckon your shots could give most a run for their money. Get some photos posted on there and stop being so daft, Lad!

It sounds like a good site, I'll give it a look when I've got a bit more time and mebe get some pics of my own on there.
