I haven't forgotten about you....

Postby Louise » Sat Oct 01, 2011 5:01 pm

Hello one and all.

Some of you may remember that a while ago (beginning of August I think) asking for some advice regarding a wedding that I was photographing.
I promised to come back with images of the big day, but that never quite materialised.

Thankfully, this was all for good reasons. I took my partner along on the day and he assisted me- we had a brilliant time. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day and as a bonus we were very happy with the pictures.

So much so that we have since photographed 2 more weddings, have bookings in place for 2012 and even have a pitch at a local Wedding Fayre.

After some amazing feedback from the wedding guests, the brides and grooms we have worked with and from Leez Priory (which some of you may or may not be familair with) we have decided to make a go of it and start advertising our sevices. We are both trained in this area and have always wanted to work for ourselves in the field, but never quite knew doing what.

We have been very busy over the last month bringing things together, taking bookings, researching etc and we seem to be on our way.

So now i've got a spare 5 minutes, i'm back to share a couple of snaps from that unforgetable first wedding. Hopefully, the first of many.

Comments/criticism and advice welcome please, unfortunately I only have a few that are resized enough to not destroy the page entirely

It was a vintage themed wedding, which is hopefully reflected in the images.

I like the shots you have, and looks like you did a good job. However, there seems to be some colour haze to the images, similar to that of an aged/faded old print. If this was meant to be the style, then good job. If not, it points to an issue with your monitor calibration.
To give you some idea what I mean, I've roughly corrected some of the colours in this edit ;-)

Granted, it was easy to miss amongst all my waffle.

Thanks though Chris, nice to know you're a helpful bunch!

Some nice pictures there Louise. AND they're all straight.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Ah, my bad  . In that case, the PP work you have done, has worked a treat, because that is exactly how they come over in style ;-)

Whatever are you suggesting Robert?

Formality in the pics? Well it is a traditionally formal occasion.
My favourite is the 'informal' #3, beautifully captured
