Hiyku style photography

Just dont this to keep myself from going coconuts at home with nowt to do....

natural light with a bit of light painting using a maglite to bring out the smoke( which wasnt showing properly in the light from the window)

Hope you like.....might turn this into a mono if its any good :(

Liverpool and Manchester Weather as a wedding photographer

Is it me or does it rain none stop in the North West of England?!

This summer has been unbelievable, with the rain hitting weddings virtually every time I have attended one in Liverpool, Mersyside and Manchester (And the count is up to 60 so far this year for me personally, the company around 80.)

The rain makes taking wedding photographs all that much harder as the images either need to be taken indoors or ...

Albums and Galleries now LIVE!!!

We are pleased to announce the launch of members personal albums, and themed albums.
To access your personal album, just go to User Control panel - Gallery, and click on manage Albums.

You can then upload up to 20 images in to your personal profile Album (already created for you)
You can also create up to 10 Sub-Albums, that can also contain up to 20 images, and name these albums ...

Members albums and galleries

Tomorrow night I will be coding a new members gallery/album system in to the forum. I've had the system on test for a few weeks now, and all seems well. Fingers crossed the 2 hours of coding should go smoothly, and the galleries etc should just "appear" before your eyes. But as always, these things can go wrong, so don't panic if we go offline for a few mins.

Helios 135mm f2.8 Prime bargain

My Mrs gave me call from town and said there was an old Zenit 11 in the charity shop for £10 with a lens and few other bits n bobs (my first ever camera). Anyway told her to get it, and the lens on it was the Helios 135mm f2.8 MF. So I slots it on the D40x and WOW, talk about sharp or what.

Making a splash....

In conjuction with my new found hobby of trying to do fine art stuff I decided whilst it was horrible weather the other morning to have a go at something I tried before- splash photography. In true Heath Robinson stylie I messed about with making stands out of old compact disk cases balancing on the Sb900 with the SB 80 hovering in the wings but decided to use milk on a black background ...
