Lighting Workshop

Postby RoscoePColtrane » Fri Sep 18, 2009 11:56 am

Only the 2nd time I've tried setting up my own lights (well we were working in a pair but...) feel I learned a lot with this workshop.
The brief was to light for a head shot, a fashion shot & a glamour shot.
Anyway here's my picks from the evening.
What do you think?

sorry Stu, cant give an honest opinion as every time I try and look I end up staring at something else??

TBH they look spot on to me although I would say I think2 and 4 the glamour shots, could do with some fill lighting, a bit too dark in places.
Not a lot , but just to give a more rounded finish unless of course its meant that way and so I will shut up!!

Nice work chap

They look great to me m8, and the pics look good too.
Hmmmmm puppies

Thought I join in the dirty old man talk

Seriously though, the shot look good m8. My only CC would be that the shadow cast by her nose on No2 looks a bit harsh ;-) Assume some kind of reflector would have softened this a bit? (I've no idea with studio stuff)

D'you know I hadn't noticed that before :-o but you may have a point

Andy - The darker lighting was deliberate, I was going for a sultry/moody feel. On a bigger version you can still see some detail all round.
Always good to hear your opinion though

The chair shot (#4) was my favourite, we had a little competition this time too so I enetered it and won!!!!
